- A GNS (Grade Not Submitted) will appear on an academic transcript in cases where interim grades WXT (Withheld – Extension), WAF (Withheld – Assessment to be finalised) or MIS (Missing result) are used.
- The S indicator is used, together with the final result, to indicate additional assessment in the form of a University special/supplementary examination has been awarded. The final result will appear on an academic transcript, however the S indicator will not appear.
- The # sign on a subject indicates that it is marked on a PASS/FAIL basis (from 1978 onwards).
- Successful completion of Honours courses usually requires a minimum grade of H3.
